2023 has arrived, and I hope you all had a wonderful Toyotathon Year-End Sales Event (or whichever holiday you celebrate). Until last week, I went through an unusually long stint without taking any photographs. Life just kept happening in the form of Day Jobâ„¢, watching all of The White Lotus, and surrendering to some very relaxed Christmastime vibes. As always, the creative spark has finally returned, and I recently got out to collect some new landscapes to share for next time.
I’m not one for New Year’s resolutions, but the holiday season does act as a reset of sorts. As the world slows down a bit, it makes space to clear some of the mental cobwebs and open oneself up to new things. I’ve been experimenting with some studio lighting, which is something I haven’t done before, and even shot a portrait session for a band this past weekend. More on that later (once I find out if they came out OK!)
In the meantime, here are my final images of summer & fall:
As I enter another year of this newsletter, I want to thank you so much for reading it! It has been a fun way to share what I’m doing and keeps you and I both off of social media (at least for a few minutes.) I hope you’re doing well out there.
Recently Featured Works & Shameless Plugs:
One of my favorite podcasts, All Through a Lens, recently did a review of my magazine, Lost Memory. It’s a few years old at this point, but I’m still pretty proud of it. You can check out the review here around the 1h15m mark:
There are only a handful of these magazines left, so pick one up while you still can!
