In this day and age, you’re periodically forced to upgrade your old computer.
And sometimes your new computer doesn’t let you use your old scanning software.
And sometimes the new scanning software isn’t forthcoming about what settings you should be using.
So instead of the inconceivable thought that your shiny new setup could be the cause of consistently blurry images, you figure your camera must be broken.
Or your film was stored improperly.
Or you’ve completely lost the ability to take a good photograph.

You may even be overwhelmed with thoughts like, “Was I ever a good photographer in the first place?”
Welcome to my brain!
After a months-long process of elimination, I found the pesky little menu option that acted as my own personal Storrowed U-Haul truck. Luckily, this didn’t stop me from taking lots of photographs this summer. It’ll just be a while before I scan them all.

I hope you’re enjoying yourselves as we delve into a much needed cooler season. The next newsletter will probably be mostly pictures, now that I have a backlog to work through.
Recently Featured Works & Shameless Plugs:
Emily and I have been helping plan a huge benefit show for the Waysmeet Center in Durham, NH. It’s this coming Sunday if you’re in the NH Seacoast area. I’ll have some photographs up for auction there too.
I recently had a new piece in See Saw Art’s ‘Critical Mass’ show in Manchester, NH. You can still buy it here!
Sometimes my brain takes alternate paths outside of my typical creative outlets. This time, it got transfixed on an idea to make parody commercials in the style of the Christmas Tree Shops ads from the 90s. Enjoy!
